Empowering Young Athletes: The Burford Centre Partners with Sundon Park Rangers U9s

We are excited to announce a new partnership between The Burford Centre and Sundon Park Rangers U9 Football Club to deliver a dedicated Strength and Conditioning (S&C) programme designed to support the long-term physical development of young players.

As part of our commitment to promoting health, fitness, and performance within the local community, The Burford Centre is now providing tailored S&C sessions for the U9 team, focusing on key elements of youth athletic development including:

  • Fundamental movement skills

  • Speed, agility, and coordination

  • Core strength and body control

  • Injury prevention strategies

These sessions are delivered in a fun, age-appropriate format that encourages confidence, teamwork, and discipline—both on and off the pitch.

“Early exposure to structured strength and conditioning helps build strong, well-rounded athletes while reducing the risk of injury. It also boosts performance in football-specific movements like sprinting, changing direction, and maintaining balance under pressure.”

– The Burford Centre Coaching Team

By equipping young players with a solid physical foundation, we are helping to set them up for success—not only in sport, but in their overall health and wellbeing as they grow.

We’re proud to support Sundon Park Rangers, a club that shares our values of excellence, inclusion, and development. This collaboration marks an exciting step forward in grassroots football and community sport.

Stay tuned for updates as the players progress through their programme — the future looks strong!

Commenti

Chris monitored my progress via daily photos uploaded to his site and adjusted my nutrition throughout. I was shocked how quickly my physique began to change, my weight began to drop though no muscle mass was lost in fact I appeared to be gaining muscle mass whilst losing fat.
